Memorial Day Weekend 2019: Las Vegas Edition

Visiting Las Vegas over Memorial Day Weekend?  You’re not alone as it’s a popular time of year for tourists to flock to the Entertainment Capital of the World for a weekend-long summer kick-off, Vegas style! Here’s our list of top attractions, concerts and activities to keep you entertained all weekend long.

Punk Rock Bowling is an outdoor music festival in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. So much more than just bowling and music, it’s a complete sensory experience for the entire family. This year, the annual event turns 21 with headline entertainment and fun running from Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27. The weekend features a bowling tournament, art exhibits, Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament, comedy shows and poolside fun at The Downtown Grand. Come hungry and enjoy signature bites, drinks and treats. Musical guests include Rancid, Descendents, The Hives, FLAG, The Vandals and more. Single-day general admission tickets start at $62.50 and kids ages 8 and under are free. For more information, visit their website.

At the opposite end of the valley at Lake Las Vegas, enjoy a fun-filled weekend at the 2nd annual Lake Las Vegas Sports Club Holiday Play Day featuring a pancake breakfast, pickleball challenge, auto show and pet fair. Also at Lake Las Vegas is Vino Del Lago Jazz Fest, an all-day musical event featuring Ronnie Laws & More with fireworks. On Sunday, May 26, witness the first ever American flag raised over Lake Las Vegas during a flagpole dedication ceremony. For more information, visit their website.

Las Vegas is arguably one of the top global destinations for nightlife and now the city credited for the birth of daylife, which includes poolside fun, featuring bottle service and live music performed by world-class celebrity DJs.  And did we mention bikinis? Whether you’re a night person or prefer the bright sunlight, there’s no shortage of activities and events, especially during busy holiday weekends like Memorial Day. Check out Palms Casino resort’s newest attraction, KAOS, for both nightlife and day life club seekers. The 100,000-square-foot, multi-level venue features a massive glass door dividing indoor and outdoor spaces, a 360-degree rotating DJ booth and a 65-foot bronze sculpture of a headless demon. The highlight of the overall weekend is when resident DJ Kaskade takes over KAOS for a larger-than-life pool party starting at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27.
