Romance Las Vegas Style: What’s Not To Love

It’s February and romance is in the air! While the rest of the world may savor romance on Valentine’s Day, in Las Vegas celebrating amore is a way of life. From popping the question at a secluded spot on a scenic hiking trail or beneath the Eiffel Tower to couples’ zip lining, champagne hot-air balloon rides and swoon-worthy dining experiences, Las Vegas inspires romance in the most surprising ways!

LOVE IN THE OUTDOORS

With an average February day-time temperature of 66 degrees in Las Vegas, it’s perfect weather to share a special day with that special person bike riding, hiking, soaring through the air on a zip line adventure or maybe floating high in the sky!

Naturally Romantic

If you and your sweetie love the great outdoors, head out to Valley of Fire State Park or Red Rock Canyon Nation Conservation Area for a romantic stroll through these scenic wonderlands. The art and beauty of nature in all its glory never fails to impress. Hint: there are awe-inspiring spots for popping the question.

Not Up For A Hike Try Cycling Around The Valley

Spend the day with that special someone two-wheeling it around the valley on your own cycling tour.  With hundreds of miles of paved and unpaved bike paths, be prepared for plenty of photo ops for togetherness selfies or nature shots with jackrabbits, redtail hawks, ospreys  and desert tortoises as you meander Wetlands Park Trail, the River Mountain Loop Trail, and the Union Pacific Railroad Trail. Check out the Neon to Natural app for trail maps. If you don’t own bicycles, no problem! The RTC Bike Share system in Downtown Las Vegas offers classic and electric bikes for rent that you can use to safely and comfortably two-wheel it through the sights and sounds of DTLV. Along the way, stop in at some of the city’s best restaurants for a romantic interlude or spend some time visiting museums like the Neon Museum where you can safely wander the outdoor Boneyard – taking in vintage Vegas signs in a spectacularly kitschy and historic setting.

Couples Zipping

Experience downtown Las Vegas in ways you never imagined. Strap in for SlotZilla and soar through the air at 35-miles-an-hour across the Fremont Experience beneath the Viva Vision canopy on an exciting two-level zip line and zoom line ride. Also, just 30 minutes’ drive from the Las Vegas Strip, is the perfect mix of hiking and zip lining where you zip ride over the Mojave desert during a 1.5 miles ride at speeds up to 60 miles-an-hour.

Soaring at 10,000 Feet

A hot air balloon ride with champagne definitely says romance. Take off just after sunrise for spectacular views of the Pahrump valley and the mountains as you climb to 10,000 feet. Once back on the ground, enjoy a champagne continental breakfast.

Falling In Love

Earn some serious “romance cred” by skydiving as a couple over the Grand Canyon. If you’re not sure about stepping out of an airplane, try flying side-by-side while indoor skydiving in a vertical wind tunnel with wind speeds of up to 120 miles per hour. No airplanes or parachutes needed!

Be Still My Racing Heart

If you’re looking for the perfect present for your boo, give him or her the gift of driving exotic supercars like a Lamborghini, Ferrari or a Porsche GT Race Car along with the thrill of speeding round and round a real racetrack at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

SWOON WORTHY ROMANCE

Chocolate & Wine

They say that chocolate is a natural aphrodisiac. Prepare to discover a cacophony of chocolate at the Ethel M chocolate factory and decorative cactus garden. Be sure to make reservations for the Chocolate & Wine Tasting Experience which expertly pairs premium chocolates with four hand-picked Trinchero wines.

More Wine Tasting

Located just an hour outside of the city in Pahrump, you can taste wine for free and tour the vineyard at two local wineries. The two wineries in Pahrump are Pahrump Valley Winery and Sanders Family Winery. Make a day of it and be sure to include lunch at the Pahrump Valley Winery where the white-table dining room overlooks their vineyard. Sander Winery also features a weekly concert series.

High Roller

If you want the entire Strip and the surrounding mountains as a romantic backdrop, cozy up together in the High Roller. Soaring 550 feet above the center of the Las Vegas Strip, the High Roller is the world’s tallest observation wheel.
